When a large aerospace engineering company’s leadership set out to drive a company-wide digital transformation, they needed more than new technology—they needed employees to embrace change. Without clear, compelling communication, even the most advanced tools and processes risked resistance. That’s where my team came in.
Starting as a small, two-person operation, we embedded ourselves within IT and transformation teams, gaining firsthand insight into evolving initiatives. To scale effectively, we developed structured workflows using JIRA and later Azure DevOps, built reusable content templates, and streamlined project tracking. We weren’t just a communications team—we became partners in driving digital change.

Growing the Team and Expanding Our Impact
As our influence grew, so did our team. We expanded to eight members across three locations, supporting everything from video production and motion graphics to infographics, podcasts, and web content. More than just content creators, we became trusted advisors, helping IT leaders shape messaging that resonated across all levels of the organization.
Shaping the Future of Communication
Over five years, we produced hundreds of assets that simplified complex IT rollouts and accelerated adoption. Our success earned recognition, leading to our formal integration into the Office of the CIO. Beyond storytelling, we collaborated with the IT Program Management Office to develop communication frameworks, empowering teams to articulate their impact more effectively.
Leading this team wasn’t just about executing projects—it was about fostering innovation and guiding digital transformation. I mentored team members in creative design, IT change management, and program leadership, helping them grow into strategic leaders. Together, we didn’t just adapt to change—we drove it.
